Terms of Service

Booking & Reservations

All bookings are subject to availability. Submitting a booking inquiry does not guarantee a reservation. Your event is confirmed only after we send a written confirmation and receive the required deposit.

A minimum of 4 adult guests is required for all private dining events. We ask for at least 2–4 weeks advance notice, with 4–6 weeks recommended for holiday events.

Payment Terms

  • Deposit: 50% of the estimated total, due within 48 hours of booking confirmation.
  • Final Payment: Remaining 50%, due 7 days before the event. This includes any additions such as extra guests, wine orders, or enhancements.
  • Tax: 8.5% California sales tax is added to the final invoice.
  • Gratuity: Not included. Industry standard is 18–22% of the food total, at your discretion.

Accepted Payment Methods

Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover), bank transfer/ACH (for payments over $1,000), Venmo (@showleys), Zelle (grant@showleys.com), and check (must clear 10 days before event).

Cancellation Policy

  • 30+ days before event: Full deposit refund minus $100 administrative fee
  • 14–29 days before: 50% of deposit refunded
  • Less than 14 days: Deposit is non-refundable
  • Less than 7 days: Full payment is due regardless of cancellation

Guest Count Changes

Guest count may be adjusted up to 7 days before your event. Increases are welcome subject to availability. For decreases, please notify us as soon as possible. The final guest count provided 7 days before the event will be used for invoicing.

Venue Requirements

We require access to a functional kitchen with a stovetop (minimum 4 burners), oven, refrigerator space, and adequate counter space. A venue assessment form will be provided to ensure we have everything needed for a seamless experience.

Liability

SHOWLEYS carries appropriate liability insurance for all events. We are not responsible for pre-existing kitchen equipment failures, guest allergies not disclosed during booking, or venue-related issues beyond our control.
